Join Pivotal and Perficient for a full-day hands-on workshop to introduce key concepts in modern cloud-native application development and delivery. This workshop will introduce concepts of cloud-native, Spring and .Net application development, container workload deployments with Pivotal Cloud Foundry, as well as application monitoring with PCF Metrics and platform monitoring with PCF Healthwatch. The labs will leverage Spring Boot 2.0, Spring Actuator, Spring Cloud Data Flow for PCF, and other PCF 2.0 topics.

Rob Winch
Project Lead, Spring Security

Rob Winch is the project lead of the Spring Security, Spring Session, and Spring LDAP projects. He is also a committer on the core Spring Framework, co-author of the Spring Security 3.1 book, and enjoys presenting about anything technical. In the past, he has worked in the healthcare industry, bioinformatics research, high-performance computing, and as a web consultant. When he is not sitting in front of a computer he enjoys playing the guitar.

Frank Moley
Software Developer

Frank Moley is a software developer and architect focused on strategic and tactical areas such as application development, microservices architectures, data systems, security and privacy, quality, operations, and general education. His primary expertise is as a Java applications and web services developer using various open source software frameworks including Spring and various Jakarta EE (J2EE) implementations. Frank is also a content author for LinkedIn Learning and has many offerings on the Spring Framework, Java Development, and Architecture. Finally, he is a co-founder of the KC Spring User Group as well as the KC Java User Group.

DaShaun Carter
VP, Engineering

DaShaun Carter is the VP of Engineering / Lead Architect for MedZERO. Prior to building his team at MedZERO, DaShaun was a Technical Lead Engineer for Garmin Connect

Gautham Pallapa
VP, Systems & Platforms

Gautham Pallapa is currently the VP of Systems and Platforms at West Corporation, driving Digital and Cultural Transformation using Agile Engineering, Platform abstraction, CI/CD, and DevOps practices at Enterprise scale. As a Product Owner, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and an Agile Coach, he encourages experimentation, failing fast, and rapid prototyping with several teams, while guiding them to measure and adapt from their learning. West Corporation is a world leader in telecommunication, providing services such as 9-1-1 call routing (traditional, Enhanced, and Next Gen), audio/video conferencing, and omni-channel customer experience applications.
